26.05.2020 – From today on it is officially possible to enter the Rally di Roma Capitale 2020. The event is, therefore, getting into its second stage, the hottest, two months ahead of the rally. Motorsport Italia’s work does not stop and it has been more intense in the past few weeks to make what would be the first round of the FIA ERC 2020 Championship and Italian Rally Championship 2020 happen.
From today www.rallydiromacapitale.it/competitors and the official App publish the Supplementary Regulations, the program, itinerary maps, distances and times, the new Covid-19 protocol and other important technical documents for crews and teams. Also available is the Motorsport Pass platform, a new system devised by Rally di Roma Capitale, Motorsport Italia and ACI Sport to register and obtain the free pass* needed to take part in the event.
Being Rally di Roma Capitale an FIA event, entry procedures are different from National rallies. Teams and Crews will have to submit their request through the website of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile at https://registrations.fia.com/rally. The event webpage, therefore, will not provide entry forms.
The itinerary at the moment is almost the same as last year, even though Motorsport Italia cannot rule out changes that might be needed by the unpredictable current situation and all sporting documents might change depending on the choices of FIA for the European Championship an ACI Sport for the Italian Rally Championship 2020. The Italian situation is developing therefore timely updates will be communicated, should things change.
For this reason, among the documents published today, the comprehensive and detailed Covid-19 Protocol is particularly important and includes all the procedures devised by the organizers to adapt the event to the present times. The document describes National regulations on social distances, the usage of face masks, protective gloves and specific strategies like triage points at the most crucial areas like Race Direction, Press Office, Service Park, Regrouping/Media Zone.
Motorsport Italia put an important effort to organize hospitality of guests and staff. Rally di Roma Capitale has a strict collaboration with several hotels, that are certified and sanitized. It will be possible to book rooms in these structures through a specific form available at the website of the rally.
From today on it is also available media accreditation procedure on www.rallydiromacapitale.it/media. This should be requested through the Motorsport Pass platform as in the case of all other staff.
