The twelfth edition of the Rally di Roma Capitale was opened with an extraordinary gala evening at Villa Miani

Rome, July 23rd 2024 – The twelfth edition of the Rally di Roma Capitale was officially inaugurated with a glamorous gala evening at Villa Miani. The event was attended by government representatives, institutional figures, sports personalities, and prestigious national and international drivers.

The evening marked the beginning of the race week of the event organised by Motorsport Italia and Max Rendina. The Rally di Roma Capitale will be the fifth round of the FIA European Rally Championship 2024 and the Italian Rally Championship Sparco 2024, as well as being valid for the 8th Zone Italian Rally Cup. The meeting highlighted the importance of the event in the institutional and sporting panorama, providing a striking postcard from one of Rome’s most picturesque locations.

The major show of the event will take place on Friday, July 26, with the start from the Colosseum and the SSS1 “Colosseo ACI Roma”, realised thanks to the collaboration with the Councillor for Major Events, Tourism and Fashion of Roma Capitale, Alessandro Onorato. The cars will be parked at the Bocca della Verità and, escorted by the Local Police Force of Roma Capitale, will parade from 19:00 through the city centre to the Colosseum, where they will regroup. The starting ceremony will begin at Colle Oppio at 20:00, followed by the spectacular inaugural special stage.

After the prologue, the cars will head to Fiuggi, the logistical hub of the event, hosting the Race Direction, the paddock and boxes, the arrival ceremony and the final evening “Power Stage Party” on Sunday, July 28. The race will resume on Saturday from 7:15 with six special stages, including the long “Santopadre – Fontana Liri” of 28.74 kilometres. Sunday will see the second leg with the “Rocca di Cave-Subiaco” stage of 32.30 kilometres and the “Monastero-Jenne” stage. The arrival ceremony will be in the centre of Fiuggi from 17:15.
